映画「フォロー・ミー」は不朽の名作「第三の男」の巨匠キャロル・リード監督が、そのキャリアの最後に遺したハートフルなラブストーリーで、73年新春の劇場公開以来、DVDはもちろんビデオ化さえもされず、わずかにテレビ放映でしか観ることができなかった幻の名画です。本作は巨匠ジョン・バリーが手がけた数多いサントラの中でも一際人気の高い1枚。長らく廃盤状態だった為に人気に拍車がかかりました。催眠的なコーラスとジョン・バリーらしい重厚な弦のアレンジが施されたメインテーマはサイケデリックなムードさえ漂います。

The last film directed by Sir Carol Reed ("The Third Man") starred Mia Farrow,
Topol and Michael Jayston which tells the strange tale of a straight-laced English
husband who believes his wife is being unfaithful. This delightful farce, based on Peter
Shaffer's stage play "The Public Eye", is a showcase for some of the more bizarrely named
locations in and around London.
John Barry's hauntingly beautiful score is a perfect accompaniment to this
romantic comedy.
