門外不出、今まで決して映像作品として市場に出回る事のなかった伝説のTVショウ。一説によればフロントマン、ドン・コーネリアスが首を縦に振らなかったとかなんとか、正規品は当分無理だろうと思っていた矢先、米通販サイトでの限定発売という情報にやきもきさせられていた方も多かったのではないでしょうか?

さすがにフィルムの保存状態や、諸々の権利関係で、全エピソード発売という訳にもいかなかった様ですが、大物、有名どころはがっちりキープ、放送開始の71年第4回目から91年第671回分までのエピソードから、名シンガー達の名演、名曲を、トータル・ランニング・タイム17時間と25分という特盛ボリュームで収録。さらにボーナス・ディスクとして87年の特番『The Soul Train Awards Show』を封入の大判振る舞い、こちらのBOXから抜粋の3DVD、5DVDなんかも他で入手可能の様ですが、やはりここは男の9枚組、多少お値段は張りますが、今後数年、数十年の繰り返しの観賞を考えればお安いもんじゃございませんか。限定数のみの入荷となりますのでお買上はお早めに!!

いやァ~遂に出ました『ソウル・トレイン』正規映像作品化。日本版は通販限定発売のため、当社では販売できません。そこで今回ご紹介するのは本国で通販限定発売されているDVD 8枚組(+ボーナス1枚)。収録されている楽曲自体は変わらないのですが、日本版(DVD 5枚組み)では編集されているドン氏とアーティストたちとの会話や、当時のCM映像が収録されているのです。さらにボーナス・マテリアルも収録して、トータルの再生時間はなんと1,035分(パッケージ記載の合計 ※日本版は490分)。しかし、日本版には日本語字幕ありですので、どれを買うべきか悩むところです。本国一般発売のDVD 3枚組もあり(8枚組の内の最初の3枚を収納)。
