■DeBarge: 1979年にミネソタ州グランド・ラピッズで結成された兄弟ヴォーカル・グループ。オリジナル・メンバーはBunny DeBarge(Vo)、Marty DeBarge(Vo、Trumpet、Sax)、Randy DeBarge(Vo、B)、El DeBarge(Vo、Piano、Key)の4人。1982年にJames(Vo、Piano、Key)、1987年にBobby(Vo)が参加。1989年に解散するまでに6枚のスタジオ・アルバムをリリースしている。解散後、Elはソロとして活躍。

■本作: Motown在籍時にリリースした4枚のアルバム音源に貴重な”M+M” Remix等(Disc 3)を加えた全43曲を収録。

■アルバム詳細: “The DeBarges”(1981年)、” All This Love”(1982年、全米アルバム・チャート3位、ゴールド)、”In a Special Way”(1983年、全米アルバム・チャート4位、ゴールド)、” Rhythm of the Night(1985年、全米アルバム・チャート3位、プラチナ)
