The inception of the vortexual series, [element zero] hones in on the most primitive forms of synthesis, methodical minimalism. This is an omniscient journey, a refuge where synthetic tones dance in the wind and sub harmonic frequencies envelope the soul like a Gregorian chant. Spatial sensations introduce the mind to "the defrag," a place to wander a different universe not far from ours. After doing our year end inventory, we stumbled across this rare CD. 100 were made and roughly 50 promo copies were shared at the Movement Festival in Detroit. This CD features nearly an hour long live take of what would later develop into "Vortexual" Element Zero. This was the starting point of what ultimately developed into the original, a bit more stripped back with layers peeled away from the surface. After listening, the minimized reductions of sound compliment element zero perfectly and add something sparse but unique to this mammoth of a series. Nearly 60 minutes of effervescent tonality; a torrential downpour of analog bliss. A place where space meets bass!
