ニューヨーク楽派の重要作曲家クリスチャン・ウォルフの、60年代から99年の近作まで収録した便利な作品集。ニューヨーク楽派の頃に作曲した ‘For 5 or 10 Players’ (62年) は図形楽譜を用いた初期の作品で、グリサンドを多用した実験的な作品となっている。ウォルフが政治的なスタンスを打ち出した70年代の作品は、カーデュやジェフンスキーがそうであったように親しみやすい庶民の為の音楽を目指している。その他代表曲 ‘Exercise’ シリーズや近作となる ‘Schoenen Met Veters’ なども収録。
