Hi-Fly Rangers is a traditional 3-piece rockabilly trio from Finland. Their sound is influenced by mid-fifties rockabilly artists such as Charlie Feathers, Buddy Holly and Johnny Horton. In 2006 they released their debut album "Hot Rod Ride to the Moon" on Goofin Records. After that came a 7" vinyl ep "Oh Baby Don't Go" . Band's material is mostly carefully chosen covers from 50's but they have a strong line of their own songs which has been greeted well in the rockabilly audience, emerging cover versions by other bands. Lead singer Vesa Haaja is well known character in international rockabilly scene through his work with his other bands Barnshakers and Whistle Bait. In Finland he is also known for bigger audiences for his collaboration with institutional instru-beat-band Agents. Lead guitarist KK and bassist Jake are both experienced players in Finnish rockabilly circuit.
Their newest release"Another Gear" is estimated to hit the shelves in mid-march 2013. Seven years after their debut it continues showing their ability to create original music without stepping too far away from the stylistic path they started on.
