『ショート・アイズ』を書いたニューヨリカンの詩人、作家マイキー・ピニエロの生涯を描いた映画『ピニエロ』のためにキップが作った「サントラ」。契約上の問題で「オリジナル・サウンド・トラック」と銘打つことが出来なかったが、アラビアン・ナイト以降の彼の音楽言語のすべてを注ぎ込んだ事実上のキップ・ハンラハンのソロ・アルバムといえる。言葉は音楽に新しい次元を加えるもっとも複雑な手段のひとつと考えるキップにとって、ピニエロやピリ・トーマスといった存在の意味はとても大きい。
