当時のパーカーはラテン・パーカッションやストリ ングスとの共演にも情熱を注いでいましたが、このライヴ盤では1940年代に通じるクインテット編成が中心、演奏曲にも「オーニソロジー」「クール・ブルース」などビ・バップの定番が揃っています。9分を超える「ナウズ・ザ・タイム」を筆頭 に、同時期のスタジオ録音とは一味異なる自由奔放なプレイに浸ることができます。
