1971年ライブ・アルバムが50周年記念リマスター再発!!

1971年に発売された2枚目のライブ・アルバムで、ファンの間ではその象徴的なジャケットアートから「スカル・アンド・ローゼズ」と呼ばれる人気盤。 当初バンドが「スカル・ファック」というアルバム名を押していたものの、結局タイトルなしで発売・・・ただしほとんどの人からはあ好意的に「スカル・アンド・ローゼズ」と呼ばれている逸品

デッドがニューヨークのフィルモア・イーストに滞在していた頃の雰囲気を纏った一枚で、1971年3月から4月にかけてのライブを収録したもの。RIAAからアメリカでゴールド認定を受けた最初のアルバムであり、彼らのアルバム中、2番目に売れたアルバムとしても知られています。

50周年仕様では、グラミー賞受賞エンジニアであるデビッド・グラッサー氏によるリマスターとプランジェント・プロセス・スピード・コレクションを用いて、全曲を新たにリマスターした2021年版リマスター盤としてリイシュー。

CDにはボーナス・ディスクとして1971年7月2日フィルモア・ウェストでの未発ライブ音源を追加収録!!
