1995年以降に発売され、廃盤後は入手困難となっていた作品をCDやアナログ・レコード等のフィジカルで発売していくカタログ・リリース・プロジェクトの第5弾が登場。

2002年の作品『ワン・ナイト・アローン…ライヴ!』は最高のライヴ・パフォーマーとしても名高いプリンスが30年近いキャリアの中で初めてリリースしたライヴ・アルバムで、ザ・ニュー・パワー・ジェネレーションとの共演作だ。80年代~90年代初頭のプリンスの代表的ヒット曲から、2001年のアルバム『The Rainbow Children』のタイトル・トラックのようなもっと近年の曲まで収録されており、プリンスのサウンド・エンジニアだったスコッティ・パクルスキーによって録音され、ライナーノーツにはスコッティのレコーディング・プロセスに関する考えが記されている。
