"OOH LA LA"や"ITCHYCOO PARK"のソングライターとして、SMALL FACESからFACES、さらに自身のSLIM CHANCEにソロと、カントリー、ブルース、トラッド、R&Bなど米国憧憬系英国田舎ルーツ・ロックを体現し続けてきた男RONNIE LANE。97年に亡くなるまで、母国英国はもちろん移住した米国でも多くの種を蒔き芽を育ててきたロック・レジェンドの、FACES後のキャリアを俯瞰し総括した初のアンソロジー・コレクションが登場です。
74年1ST『ANYMORE FOR ANYMORE』、74年2ND『RONNIE LANE'S SLIM CHANCE』、76年3RD『ONE FOR THE ROAD』、79年4TH&ラスト『SEE ME』のソロでの全4作品に加え、それぞれのディスクにシングルやBBCセッション、アウトテイクにライヴ音源、RON WOODとのデュオ名義による76年アルバム『MAHONEY'S LAST STAND』や77年PETE TOWNSHENDとの共作アルバム『ROUGH MIX』からの楽曲に、「THE R 'N' B SESSIONS」でのDIONの"THE WANDERER"やCONNIE ALLENの"ROCKET' 69"、FATS WALLERの"THE JOINT IS JUMPIN'"といった貴重なカヴァー・トラック等をボーナス追加。
さらにDISC 5&6には、80年3月3日のドイツはROCKPALASTショウや、81年5月29日のCAPITAL RADIOでのライヴ、76年から92年にかけての各地のラジオ・セッションや未発表デモにスタジオ・アウトテイク、自身の農場「FISHPOOL FARM」での77年セッション、そして渡米後オースティン時代の88年のテキサス公演といった米音源や日本公演音源などなど、さらなるボーナス音源をコンパイルしています。
