'14年作『TIME ON OUR SIDE』で遂にバンド活動にピリオドを打つことが決定したBritish Jazz Rockを代表する名バンド、70年代活動期に録音された発掘Studio/Live音源から選曲/編纂された'17年発掘コンピ盤が2枚組/180g重量盤アナログで登場!デビュー前の'68年から活動末期の'71年までに英BBC Radio放送用に録音されたStudio Live音源と'70/'71年独/英公演音源及び'71年Outtake曲から編纂/構成。 James Litherland(g/vo)在籍期の最初期からChris Farlowe(vo)、Mark Clarke(b/vo)加入後の末期まで僅か4年足らずに繰り返されたメンバー・チェンジを経るごとに変化していく音楽性とパワフル/ダイナミズムさを増すアンサンブルの様子が追っていける楽曲構成の妙が光る1枚。収録音源は'09年4枚組コンピCD BOX『MORITURI SALUTANT』をはじめこれまでのCDに収録された既発音源のためレア度は低いですが、先のBOXを筆頭に本盤の音源を収録していたCDはほとんどが入手困難な上、より太く迫力のあるアナログ盤ならではのサウンドで聴けるだけにコレクターは押さえておきたいコンピ盤です!!ゲートフォールド仕様ジャケット。
