POINTER SISTERS / ポインター・シスターズ / PRIORITY + BLACK & WHITE / CD

「PRIORITY」('79) (1)~(9), 「BLACK & WHITE」('81) (10)~(18)

Two fantastic Richard Perry-produced Pointer Sisters albums (from 1979 and 1981) on a single disc set.

Unbelievably, the first Priority makes its world debut on CD here.

Priority contains stunning and downright ballsy - covers of songs from a veritable pantheon of icons; Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Bob Seger, Ian Hunter, The Band, Graham Parker and Richard Thompson. And believe me; they all work like an absolute dream.

1981 s Black & White - a Top Ten LP, and a true classic includes the sisters signature song and smash hit single Slow Hand , but that s a mere taster for an album that s as gritty and funky as it is deep and sensuous . Come on, is your mouth watering yet?

As with all Broadside 2-on1s, the original LP sleeves are reproduced full CD size inside. We know this stuff matters!

There s a generously Broadside 75 minutes of playing time on this set, and all of it painstakingly re-mastered by the incomparable studiomeister Tim Turan. Bloody hell, Mum Let s have your purse!
