Vancouver global pop trio Pacifika keep a healthy "no boundaries" attitude to their multi-hued tapestry of Latin rhythms, Afro-pop, reverbed dub beats, electronica, dance floor grooves, sultry bossa nova and any number of freshly cut cross-cultural musical elements they can lay their hands on. Following up on their praised 2008 debut Asuncion, Pacifika returns August 24 with Supermagique (Six Degrees) a diverse thirteen-track collection ready to take their tantalizing international vibe to an even wider audience. Peruvian-born singer Silvana Kane, Canadian guitarist Adam Popowitz and Barbados-raised bassist Toby Peters still deliver the sumptuous percussive pop they've become known for but this time the canvas is even broader with a number of tracks sung in English as well as Spanish (and a little French, too).
