Wyckham Porteous is respected by critics. Andrew Loog Oldham is a legend. Together they have made Wyckham's best album to date.

"He (Wyckham) belongs in the exalted company of compatriots Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, Mary Margaret O'Hara, The Band..."
RockN'Reel Magazine - 2007

"Oldham has helped Porteous to sculpt a warm and welcoming record full of spacious acoustic atmosphere, including some inspired interpretations of songs like The Beatles classic Please, Please Me, and Springsteen's Hungry Heart as well as several originals he's like a laid back, new country Neil Diamond. - - Christopher Rees, Western Mail, Wales Aug 17 2007

Key Selling Points:
Wyckham Porteous and Andrew Loog Oldham have created a quiet, comfortable record that mostly features Wyckham's original tunes. However, Oldham remembered his early days in the business when he worked for The Beatles and felt this album should include a cover of "Please, Please Me", but recorded as it was meant to be when it was written. Originally it was a tribute to Roy Orbison and copied his slow and methodical way. George Martin requested that the tempo be upped considerably for The Beatles released version. Playing a hunch, Andrew had Wyckham try the song in it's original time signature and quickly realized it suited Wyckham's voice perfectly. A little sitar in the background for mood and voila, the only recorded version of the way Paul and John intended.
