Carnival rumpus, DIY electro and out Compas. Kicks off with some 1979 folk revivalism plonking Kraftwerk inna Port Au Prince. Haunting vocals, heavy drum machine. Then some rough and rugged Rara, with a one-note bass-line from a Vaksin bamboo-flute; and a beautiful Mini Jazz arrangement of the evergreen Mateau, with criss horns. For those still standing, a stiff shot of psycho-Compas, laced with swirling organs, screeching vocals and heavy bass.
