The flamenco singer Jos? Antonio Mart?n Ya?ez Salao, was born in Germany and is the son of an Andalusian family come from village of Alosno (Huelva), cradle of the fandango. When he was a teenager he sang rumba. He made the entire tablao route and went across the world with Joaqu?n Cort?s Company. After that, he disappeared for so long. He is very shy and hardly talks about those things. In fact, he is a man of few words.Salao sings his sorrows and his joys. Neither more nor less. He sings in a way that makes your blood freeze but don’t like flamenco traditionalists. He changes the palos (flamenco styles) suddenly, skips the compass. He cannot be avoided, because it's a free spirit.“Jara en el camino“ is his debut album, with some lyrics by his own hand and other from traditional songs achieved from the work ‘Colecci?n de Cantes Flamencos’ by Antonio Machado ?lvarez (better known by his pseudonym Dem?filo), a writer, anthropologist, and Spanish folklorist.
