UKの名門、ATHENS OF THE NORTHがサブ・レーベル、OCEAN OF TEARSを始動!
We have talked about a down-tempo label for a while but the time was never quite right, a chicken and egg type situation. My feeling was so many great records are not getting enough shine for the crime of not being fast so its time to take a risk. As an offshoot to Athens of the North we will start putting out some of our favorite Beat Ballads and Slowy's starting with the mighty Forrest Terry, inventor of the Keytar!
Forest was a tripped out intellectual who dabbled his hands in electronics and psychedelic funk. His former band "Original Black Sheep" produced one of the most psychedelic tunes ever committed to wax, as well as the best label design ever. Here we have Forest after launching his solo career, which produced only one single, again flexing funkadelic style beats on "Branching Out" and one acid heartthrob ballad "Satellite Love" which is also featured in this video. I believe the video was made 10 years after the songs were initially released, and it features his Keytar.
