UKはブリストルの5人組 ME & MY FRIENDS の1st フルCDが登場!!
The sound of English folk colliding head-on with the golden-era music of 1970s West Africa and the Caribbean.
Bound by a mutual love of the sun-drenched vintage sounds of afrobeat, soukous, highlife and roots reggae, the UK-based 5-piece re-invent these influences around the instantly recognisable voice and finger-style guitar of songwriter and singer Nick Rasle.
“Me and My Friends” play truly genre-defying music which is soulful, poignant and gloriously danceable. The UK-based quintet create a timeless sound with a global outlook, subtly referencing everything from vintage Ghanaian highlife to classic Jamaican roots, via influences from Brazil and beyond. Performed with an infectious energy, the result is instantly recognisable and totally irresistible.Their joyful sound has garnered radio play on BBC Radio 2, 4 and 6, as well as plaudits from the likes of Quantic and Steve Lamacq.
