BADBURN / バッドバーン / CRACK THE WEAKENED SURFACE / レコード

Hardcore band Badburn’s 2010 album “Crack The Weakened Surface” is now pressed on vinyl for the first time.

Crack the Weakened Surface is Badburn’s second full-length release. It’s a focused, uncompromising slab of Filipino hardcore-metal that fuses groove-laden heaviness with relentless forward motion. Released in 2010, the record marked a shift from raw aggression to more deliberate structure, delivering tight, riff-driven tracks that channel frustration, defiance, and discipline.

Songs like “Consume,” “Kill at Will,” and “The Pain Strikes” aren’t just mosh calls, they’re pressure valves. Lyrically, the album navigates themes of consequence, inner conflict, and survival without ever tipping into melodrama. Musically, it draws from their well laid out influences, and is filtered through the band’s signature grit and intensity.

This is a record that doesn’t rely on nostalgia or gimmicks. It holds up because it was built to. Now pressed on vinyl for the first time, Crack the Weakened Surface stands as a document of a band that understood the weight of their message and how to deliver it with clarity and volume.
