Vol.1
Yas(ヤス)です。Ayu(アユ)とも呼ばれています!
Lost Frog Productions
Hayakore Tatsumi、Tenchio、oksuu、beansclub
(2026年リリース:beansclub - 「NOTHING LEFT TO SAY」)

Q1.
―Could you start by introducing yourself and the label?
We’d also love to hear about your musical roots, as well as specific artists or communities that influenced you, and your perspective on the Polish music scene.
I'm Yas, but you can also call me Ayu! I’m 19 and just finished high school here in Poland. I run the label
SVPACYBERIA, which has been growing since 2023. I don't really stick to strict genres; I just focus on
whatever catches my interest, mostly electronic music. My main goal is to embrace otaku culture through
music and strong visual aesthetics for every release. At first, the label was more about atmospheric
breakcore, but over time I’ve moved into different styles that actually make me happy. I’m very much
inspired by Japanese artists & labels. To be honest, the mainstream Polish scene feels pretty predictable
and a bit pretentious lol. I’m not that deep into the local underground either, though I do know a few
people involved in Japanese music related events!
Q2.
―How is the label currently structured and operated?
Could you also share how responsibilities are divided and what the day-to-day workflow looks like?
And what originally motivated you to start the label?
SVPACYBERIA is almost entirely independent, so I handle everything from creative direction with
musicians to emails and order fulfillment. My friend memo1ers / zxastyx handles the design work, while I
collaborate with Japanese illustrators for the cover art, and my friend Fisha runs the website since I'm no
good at coding... My daily workflow isn't very structured yet; I’m usually just packing orders whenever I
can. I don’t even have a set day to "scout" for artists, it just happens naturally lol. Starting at 15 while in
high school made consistency a struggle, but now that I've graduated, I’m ready to take it way more
seriously after my final exams. It’s funny looking back before it was a label, SVPA was just a small
community for music fans and even an AMV editing group at one point!
Q3.
―As an artist yourself, what do you consciously prioritize as a label owner?
How does that mindset manifest in your releases or interactions with artists? If you have any specific examples, we’d love to hear them.
When I work with artists, I prioritize originality and a clear vision. I have to naturally connect with the
music, but I also really value it when an artist understands the label’s focus on visuals and the overall
concept. For me, a release is not solely about the sound, but also about the overall artistic package. I try to
build genuine collaborations rather than just casually dropping music and its physical products with no
intention behind them. I’ve had people approach me just for the material benefits before, so I’m pretty
careful about that. I don't just accept every project because it's convenient; each release has to feel
meaningful and aligned with the label's philosophy in one way or another.
Q4.
―Although you are a net label, you seem to put strong emphasis on physical releases.
Could you tell us the reasoning behind this, and how listeners have responded to it?
I focus heavily on physical releases because I feel like there’s still way too little wonderful music
available in that format. Artists deserve to have their work preserved in a tangible way that people can
actually keep and cherish for years to come! For a lot of musicians, having a physical release (such as CD
or vinyl) is a huge milestone too. Right from the start, the response was extremely positive, even with my
first ever release being on CD. There’s just something special about owning music physically... it creates a
much deeper connection to the work. I’m really grateful that people appreciate both the music and the
limited physical editions I put out!
Q5.
―Your label has a strong internet culture aesthetic.
What cultures influence both your music and visuals?
And how are those influences reflected in your work?
I’m glad that aspect is recognized! The soul of the label definitely lies in otaku culture, doujin music,
video games and irregular japanese media design; magazines, M3 related media, etc. Those influences
shape everything from the sound to the visual direction. I try to reflect that vibe through the cover art and
the general atmosphere of the music. At the same time, SVPACYBERIA's visual identity is always
evolving, because I’m constantly looking for something new and exciting. I hate staying in one place
creatively. Right now, the label is going through a visual transformation I’m really proud of, and I'm
looking forward to sharing this new direction soon.
Q6.
―SVPACYBERIA features artists from many different countries.
Is this kind of cross-border collaboration now common in the scene?
What challenges come with it, and are you also involved in offline activities such as real-life events?
I’ve never really had any issues working with artists from overseas, I actually quite enjoy the 'challenge'!
We usually communicate in written English, or Japanese if needed. I’m not sure how common these
international collaborations are, but I think they're very valuable. Limiting any project to just one country
feels a bit restrictive and not very progressive, doesn't it? International work brings in perspectives I never
would’ve found otherwise, and I try to learn as much as I can from those interactions. I’m not doing
offline events at the moment, but I’d love to organize some in the future!
Q7.
―You’ve worked with Japanese artists on your releases.
What are your impressions of Japan’s indie and home-recording scene?
Are there any Japanese artists who stood out to you, and do you see potential for future collaborations?
My first impression of Japanese artists is that they are incredibly kind and often very humble. Sometimes
I feel like they should appreciate their own work more, because the quality and creativity is just top-tier!
Working with Japanese people has been such a positive and supportive experience. The DIY and bedroom
producer scenes in Japan are especially inspiring to me, since I also create everything from my own little
room. I love both the old-school J-core vibes and futuristic hi-tech styles, but my tastes go beyond that
too! I’ve also been into j-rock, shoegaze, and bedroom pop. I’m actually working with one of my favorite
bedroom pop bands, usamimi, as well as nerdneko, who does this amazing blend of shoegaze and Hatsune
Miku. On the electronic side, I’d absolutely love to work with people like yax03 or DJ Sharpnel someday.
I’m always excited about the possibilities!
Q8.
―In recent years, internet-born genres like Hyperflip and Dariacore have gained attention.
How do you view this trend?
Do you have any critical thoughts on it, and are there any artists or works you’re particularly interested in?
I’m a huge fan of hyperflip and that entire scene. I really look up to Lost Frog Productions; they’re a
major inspiration and always push genres in creative ways. The CCS events seem genius too, and it’s a
total dream of mine to experience one in person! I don’t really have any criticisms... It's exciting to see
artists bring new life into genres that were once called "dead." Artists like momone, yax03, DJ Raisei, and
samebeam have all put in so much work. It’s hard to pick favorites because everyone is so talented! I just
really love the energy of the scene right now.
Q9.
―The label’s sound and direction seem to have evolved over time.
Was this change intentional, or did it happen naturally?
Could you tell us more about the background behind it?
The shift in the label’s direction happened pretty naturally. At first, I was focused on a specific scene, but
my feelings just started to change. I felt less excited and kind of stuck with the whole atmospheric
breakcore or DnB, so I knew I had to move on. I didn't want to force myself into something that didn't
feel inspiring anymore. Exploring new sounds was my way of reconnecting with music authentically.
Moving toward otaku-focused scenes brought back that sense of curiosity and excitement! It feels fresh
and much more like who I am today.
Q10.
―Finally, could you share your future outlook both as a label and as an individual?
What are your short-term goals and long-term vision, and are there any upcoming releases we should look out for?
In the short term, my main goal is to finish my own album and finalize a huge compilation that represents
this new phase of the label. The idea is to connect oldschool J-core with those futuristic hi-tech sounds. In
the West, people often misrepresent this kind of music as just "nostalgia," but I totally disagree. There are
so many artists actively pushing the sound forward, and I want people to see that!
For upcoming releases, I’m preparing the secret compilation, plus collaborations with
artists like DJ Kurara, Hayakore Tatsumi, Tenchio, oksuu, and beansclub. There are plenty of other
projects in the works that I can’t fully talk about yet... Long term, I just want SVPACYBERIA to keep
growing as a platform for global artists and niche scenes, staying true to internet otaku culture and
physical media!
