廃盤サンパウロ発のポップロック系バンドGarotas Suecas、3rdアルバム。HIGHLIGHTSSão Paulo’s Garotas Suecas keep evolving their sound on their awaited third album “Futuro do Pretérito”.These 12 new tracks form a mesmerizing take on Brazilian 60s/70s soul, pop and funk which sounds fresh and of today while dealing with a wide range of issues from politics and sentimental troubles to tropical fruits.DESCRIPTIONOn their third album, “Futuro do pretérito”, Garotas Suecas begin a new phase as a four-piece where the four musicians also share the lead vocals: Irina Bertolucci (vocals, keyboards), Tomaz Paoliello (vocals, guitar), Fernando Perdido (vocals, bass) and Nico Paoliello (vocals, drums). The album deals with a wide range of issues, from thorny political matters to sentimental troubles and even tropical fruits. “The songs were developed during 2016 in our new horizontal line-up: four singers, four musicians, four songwriters. We started recording in early 2017, at Freak studio. It’s the first time that both the production and the mixing has been done by the band. The records comes completely from within ourselves, it’s less referential and more organic. We chose our own formula rather than any established formulas,” states Tomaz Paoliello.“Futuro de Pretérito” features guest musicians such as long-time collaborator percussionist Matheus Prado (Projeto Coisa Fina), saxophonist Filipe Nader (Música de Selvagem, Trupe Chá de Boldo), guitar players Marcelo Vogelaar (Holger) and Marcelo Lemos (Vruumm, Projeto Coisa Fina) and keyboardist Andre Bruni (Mel Azul, Cupin). The artwork is by illustrator and designer Walter Rego¥2,310 (税込)ご注文できません -

売切 注文不可■7" EP Release■Vampisoul is very excited to announce the arrival of our latest artist, Brazilian psychsoul- garage-pop combo Garotas Suecas. Sweaty, funky, exotic, committed, Garotas Suecas (Swedish Girls, in Portuguese) hail from São Paulo, Brazil and offer up a hearty, full-throated stew combining the best elements of their country's homegrown tropicalia with Anglo-American soul and freakbeat. While they are often compared to their 1960s forbears - including legendary fellow Brazilians Os Mutantes, Gilberto Gil and Caetano Veloso - Garotas Suecas are having the sort of early career success that the 21st Century uniquely affords: before even releasing a full-length album, through widely circulated singles, EPs and touring, the band generated an extraordinary amount of excitement from bloggers and critics. The band comprises Guilherme Saldanha (vocals and harmonica), Irina Bertolucci Chermont (keys), Perdido (bass), Sesa (guitar) and the Paoliello brothers, Nico (drums) and Tomaz (guitar). They formed in 2005, when they met as teenagers at an open mic night. They rehearsed in the home of an area poet, self-funded three EPs, toured Brazil, and improbably landed an MTV Video Music Award. This single is the ideal introduction to their music; the record bursts with fuzz guitars, polyrhythms, scorching female backing vocals, big horn sections and heavy psychedelia. Its grooves are thick, and it comes to make the whole world shake.Garotas Suecas are especially beloved for their sweaty, infectious live show, which they are bringing to Spain in late May and early June for two weeks of dates. "We are down for playing anywhere where the crowd is down for shaking very hard to our music." (VAMPI SOUL)¥1,047 (税込)ご注文できません -
