廃盤Stir up 30+ years of Memphis music chops with a dose of Mediterranean spice, add old & new friends rocking hard in funky places, marinate with a batch of feisty new tunes, turn up the heat, and this is what you get... Niko Lyras moved from his native Greece to Memphis at 19 to immerse himself in the soulful music he loved. Over the decades he became a central player in the city's legendary music scene, as a guitarist, songwriter, producer, recording engineer, and mentor. After making hundreds of other people's projects sound good and feel great, Niko asked himself, "What would happen if I made a record exactly like I want it, with exactly the people I want to play with?" Chunk of Space Funk is the amazing answer, and it proves just how diverse funky can be... "In Your Face" is a no-holds-barred guitar duel with Eric Gales that levitates beyond the blues. The exotic rhythmic journey "Ser Yo" features Victor and Roy Wooten and Colombian diva Marcela Pinilla. "Like Me" is what Sly Stone might sound like if he grew up in Memphis, with powerhouse vocals by Wendy Moten, Stephanie Bolton and Marcus Scott (Tower of Power's new lead singer), a mind-bending bass solo by Victor Wooten, and a classic Memphis horn section. Every song on Chunk of Space Funk earns its own place in the spotlight, mixing Memphis music veterans with the energy of exciting young talents like bassist Mononeon (Dywayne Thomas, Jr.) who went from YouTube star to Niko's studio to joining Prince's new band in only months. In an era suffering from too many formulaic productions of predictable music, Niko Lyras's Chunk of Space Funk is the antidote!¥2,420 (税込)ご注文できません
