It has now been 15 years since Joan Miquel Oliver's first solo album was released and to celebrate this we present this limited edition on vinyl. The composer and guitarist of the band ANTÒNIA FONT presents an original and personal album. Surfistas is the most intimate artistic extension of an author who needs to persevere and express his constant creativity. Surfistas, is a production that includes eleven songs with different musical lines where a special "ambient" atmosphere dominates that subtly makes us listen to the peculiar lyrics that shape little stories and situations. Joan Miquel's proposal is very simple: a walk where natural events give a different image of reality, an ironic reality where ideals and fantasies are confused.

This new work by the Mallorcan musician Joan Miquel Oliver is presented on CD and vinyl in order to optimize the work of the painter Albert Pinya, who illustrates the themes one by one. Titles such as 'Entrada al bosc de Sor Tomasseta' or 'Dia i mig a l'antic Egipte' suggest music that overflows imagination. The composition is based on the principles of twelve-tone. For this reason alone, this album could be considered one of the most courageous experiments in the field of catalan pop music, but not only that, listening to the album reveals a well-finished work that goes beyond the purely experimental.The instrumentation is both acoustic and electronic, with very natural guitars or analog synthesizers. Oliver includes a presentation text which explains, briefly and for all audiences, what twelve-tone is and how it is applied to the album.
