トッド・ヘインズ監督による、ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンドのドキュメンタリー・フィルムの公式サウンドトラックが2LPリリース!!

 
2021年10月15日に海外の映画館およびApple TV+で公開されたVELVET UNDERGROUNDのドキュメンタリー映画『The Velvet Underground』。この2枚組のサウンドトラックは、ドキュメンタリーの監督であるトッド・ヘインズとミュージック・スーパー・バイザーのランドール・ポスターが監修。ヴェルヴェット・アンダーグラウンドに影響を与えた、ザ・ディアブロスのドゥーワップ、ボ・ディドリーの画期的なロックンロール、ラ・モンテ・ヤングのアヴァンギャルドな楽曲などに加えて、バンドの代表曲曲やルー・リードの初期キャリアにおけるキラー・チューン THE PRIMITIVES "The Ostrich"なども収録。
 
ブックレットにはヘインズによるライナーノーツを掲載。
