Alison O'Donnell was the lead vocalist with Irish folk legends, MELLOW CANDLE, and this is amazingly her first solo album, since the demise of the band and the album SWADDLING SONGS ( recently re issued by Cherry Red).
MELLOW CANDLE's long standing cult status is richly deserved.
The 11 track album comes complete with 2 bonus tracks recorded in 2006 and 2007.
Contemporary Folk -Rock, with added time machine and a direct line to the heart of 1972. Melody and passion combined to perfection, lovers of Mellow Candle, Fairport and Trees should dive right in!
HEY HEY HIPPY WITCH while harking back to the fabled MELLOW CANDLE. Is in fact a very contemporary sounding roots album and highlights the strength of ALLISON's voice and the maturity of her song writing.
