KNACKS / ナックス / STILL / レコード

Nowadays we have naturalized that rock is universal, that it can be sung in Danish, in Japanese, Spanish or whatever you want, but there were times when it wasn't like that.
Of course they were The Shakers in Uruguay, but there was another brilliant group that sang in English: Los Knacks - the first rock band to censor an Argentine dictatorship.
This Beat and Garage group released five singles between 1967 and 1970, alternating between power and beautiful melodies.
Unfortunately, the Onganía dictatorship and the banning of playing music in English led to their separation.
Suddenly, in the 21st century, The Knacks were back. First, without their knowledge,
They released two albums compiling all their previous material, even unreleased ones.
That caused a meeting, which led to Last Stand, their first LP, while at the same time, the Nesci brothers shot a brilliant documentary called Leave Me in the Past. (Dejame en el pasado)
In the middle of the pandemic they recorded this EP, Still Knacks, probably the last release what we will have from this brilliant band. Here they cement their status as one of the greatest Beat groups on the planet, and show that more than 50 years after their first simple, they can still move you with their impeccable vocal work.
There are many things that can be lost over time, but the attitude is still there in these 'guys’. Zorn Records will be selling copies of this numbered edition on vinyl.
