Following on the heels of two standout releases from the label featuring some of today’s hottest and most in-demand DJs and producers-comes another distinctive house music 12”, “Waiting,” producedby Conway Kasey and featuring the captivating vocals of songstress TEALA. Together, they deliver a record that feels both deeply rooted and completely of the moment. Conway Kasey’s musical journey began long before the DJ booth. In the late ’80s and early ’90s, he traveled the world as a dance-theater performer, moving audiences through rhythm, expression, movement, and energy. His path would eventually lead him deeper into the world of dance music, where he collaborated with legendary figures such as Timmy Regisford and other influential artists who helped shape the culture. Played by the likes of Timmy Regisford , Merlin Bob and Je Claussell, to name a few, “Waiting” is one of those house records that pays homage to the original spirit and foundations of dance music while simultaneously speaking to the present. It carries the soul, groove, and human energy that made house music such a powerful force in the first place—without sounding trapped in the past. Pressed on limited-edition clear vinyl, this is a release made for the serious heads, collectors, DJs, and lovers of timeless house music. And judging by the way Banger Recording Group releases have been moving, this one won’t be sitting around for long. Keep your eyes and ears open for more forthcoming music from this young, independent, and increasingly influential dance music label.
