廃盤クラシックロックンロールスターを廉価盤でお届けするシリーズ!! SUNを代表するロカビリーSSWの27曲!! 名前が紛らわしいとか言わないの!Not to be confused with the Spandex-clad bass player from Kiss or the late British actress, Tupelo-born Gene Simmons was responsible for some of the best Rockabilly cuts never to emerge on the Sun label! A gifted tunesmith, Simmons' self-penned gems such as 'Juicy Fruit' and 'Crazy Woman' languished unissued for years, whilst his only Sun release, 'Drinkin' Wine' b/w 'I Done Told You', was held back by label boss Sam Phillips for eighteen months, by which point the Rockabilly craze had peaked nixing his chances of a hit.Covering the period 1955-58, this collection gathers together all of Simmons' Sun recordings including alternate takes and unreleased masters. Chart success would eventually come on Hi Records with the 1964 Hallowe'en novelty hit 'Haunted House' and thanks to the 70s Rockabilly revival, he enjoyed renewed acclaim among Sun aficionados in Europe and the US.1.Drinkin' Wine 2.I Done Told You3.Blues At Midnight [alt.1]4.Down On The Border 5.Mom And Pop [alt.2]6.Juicy Fruit [alt.2]7.You Can't Break The Chains Of Love 8.Gene's Jumpin' Jive 9.Shake Rattle And Roll 10.If I'm Not Wanted 11.Peroxide Blonde And A Hopped Up Model Ford12.Crazy Woman [alt.1]13.I Don't Love You Baby 14.Money, Money, Money [alt.3]15.I Done Told You [alt.1]16.Drinkin' Wine [alt.2] 17.Mom And Pop [alt.1]18.Down On The Border [alt.1]19.Blues At Midnight [alt.2] 20.Juicy Fruit [alt.1]21.Crazy Woman [alt.2]22.Money, Money, Money [alt.2]23.I Done Told You [false start alt.2]24.Juicy Fruit [alt.3]25.Money, Money, Money [alt.1] 26.If I'm Not Wanted 27.Drinkin' Scotch¥1,047 (税込)ご注文できません
