Having toured the war zones during World War II entertaining the allied troops Andre Kostelantz and his wife Lily Pons returned to the ‘States” and recorded a series of Armed Forces Radio Service programs for distribution to the troops abroad. The programs were entitled “Music Millions Love”. It is from these half hour transcriptions that the music on this CD has been selected. it is a companion piece to our previously issued CD SOY 856 which featured vocalist Lily Pons this time it is the celebrated voice of Ginny Sims who provides the vocals. The last seven tracks are bonus tracks taken from various Armed Forces Radio Shows including The Ginny Sims Show, Mail Call, Treasury Song Parade and Bob Hopes Christmas Party (Command Performance) These rare ‘live’ recordings were amongst the last to be made by Andre Kostelanetz before he took to making studio recordings and conducting symphony orchestras...a collectors item which will be enjoyed by all lovers of good music.
