The music you will find here was recorded in 34 different ways, and in as many places and times, over a short period from March to May 2020. Time will tell whether this strange interlude will be remembered, but there is no doubt that each of our present situations has been marked by this episode of forced isolation.
Some fear solitude, others seek it out. Tim chose to tame it. From his accordion came bits of themes, fragments of melodies. Curious to find out more, he hastened to continue, and brought to light a dozen compositions that until now had remained carefully hidden in a corner of his creative minds. While humans were forbidden to travel, music was free from any law, which allowed ten authors to take hold of it, sharing their visions of that particular spring. When you embark on a journey, the desire to share it is quick to come. So 37 poets from all walks of life were invited to participate, each in their own way, in this common work.
In turn, the singers and musicians contributed their voices, moods, choruses, breath, etc., without anyone having the slightest idea what the final score would be. This recipe worked thanks to the touching, reassuring and necessary trust, as well as the generosity and talent of each artist. This was followed by a colossal and masterful work of mixing and mastering so that the whole set may fit together. The result surpasses our expectations, as if angels had contributed to it.
The magic of music is that you hear it differently depending on the state you are in while listening to it. We dare to believe that this feeling is multiplied tenfold in the case of this album. There are as many souls, moods, living environments, fears, silences, and hopes that shape this patchwork as there are ways of apprehending it, of appropriating it, of recognising oneself in it.
