本作ではベニー・グッドマン楽団でお馴染みのホレス・ヘンダーソン作「Big John’s Special」をはじめ「Yeah Man!」、「Limehouse Blues」、「Hit That Jive Jack」などのスタンダード・ナンバーも披露。猛烈なエネルギーを放つインプロヴィゼーションだけでなく、ジューン・タイソンを迎えたヴォーカル・ナンバーやアーケストラのメンバーによる陽気な掛け合いも飛び交うリズミカルなナンバーなど、サン・ラー・アーケストラの幅広い魅力が味わえるファン必携のライヴ盤です。
