PENTANGLEと並びブリティッシュ・フォーク/トラッドを代表する名バンド、'76年以来バンドが主催となり毎年開催されているフォーク・フェス「Cropredy Festival(Cropredy Convention)」の'82年度から'87年度('85年を除く)までのライブ音源や'87~'90年にかけてBBCラジオ放送用として録音されたライブ/スタジオ・セッション音源、70年代期を含む英BBCテレビ出演時の映像を一挙に纏めて収録した、11CD+DVDの12枚組ボックスセットが'24年英Madfishよりリリース!

前記の通り、CD1~8には'82年から'87年までの「Cropredy Festival」や'85年の英バーミンガム大学における公演などのライブ音源、CD9~11には'87年~'90年に英BBCラジオにて放送されたライブ/セッション音源、DVDには'82年から'85年にかけて「Six Fifty-Five Special」「Pebble Mill at One」などの英BBCテレビの番組にて放送された「Cropredy Festival」でのライブ映像やインタビュー、更にボーナスとしてかの音楽番組「The Old Grey Whistle Test」を含む70年代のパフォーマンス像などをそれぞれ収録。160曲以上にも及ぶ収録曲/映像のうち57曲が今回オフィシャル初公開。マスタリングはGROBSCHNITTでもお馴染みのErocが担当。Kate BushやJohn Martynの伝記を執筆した経験もある作家Graeme Thomsonによる新規エッセイや過去のインタビュー/貴重写真などを掲載した60pにもわたるブックレット、’70年作『FULL HOUSE』制作時のラインナップ:Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol, Dave Pegg, Dave Mattacksのサイン入りメモラビリアを封入。

当時バンドが活動休止状態にあった中でも年一のリユニオン公演として歴代のメンバーが集結し、まさにフェスらしい華やかなステージを繰り広げた'82~'84年、Ric Sanders・Martin Allcockら新メンバーを擁した再編バンドによる、より"バンド"としての一体感が増した熟練の演奏が繰り広げられる'85年以降に大別されますが、いずれの時期/音源においてもブリティッシュ・フォーク/フォーク・ロックシーンを牽引する存在としての堂々たるパフォーマンスが堪能できます!マニア向けながら、極上のクオリティーを誇る演奏/内容の貴重性の両面において持っていて損はしないボックスです!
