This super rare and collectable album originally released in 1988 on the Link Records Ska imprint Skank Records is available with a major re-mastering! Included are all the Riffs classic songs and firm live favourites ‘Blind Date’, ‘Darling’, ‘Monday Morning’ and the bands reworking of ‘House Of the Rising Sun’ entitled ‘Dirty Bum’. The original ‘"Ska for Ska’s Sake” version of ‘Blind Date’ has been added as a bonus track to complete these first recordings from the band that featured original singer Aiden Sterling and bassist Tad who went onto play with the Nutty Boys and Madness.BONUS CDThis release also features a later line up of The Riffs caught live at the legendary Club Ska and features all 11 songs from that Moon Ska 2007 "Live At Club Ska” CD and features guest appearances from Dave Barker, The Ruts’ Paul Fox (RIP) and Winston Francis.

ドイツのSKINHEAD SKAバンドによる1997年リリースの1stアルバムがボーナストラックを追加収録、デジパック仕様にポスターブックレット付きでリリース!メンバーは相当酒飲みらしく、見た目もかなりイカツクて国民性がそのまま音にも出ているという非常にわかりやすいサウンド。終始アップテンポのドラムのリズムにしゃがれた野太いボーカル、”OI!OI!OI!”のコーラス。これは燃えます。代表曲は”SATURDAY SKINS”、”THE TIMES”そしてラストの”BEER,BEER,BEER”!叫びながら踊りまくって、そこらじゅうでグラスの割れる音がしてと、とにかく大騒ぎ。当時のレコードは聴きすぎたせいか、ぼろぼろで音も飛びまくり。それでも時を経ても変わらない良さがあります。 Long overdue re-release of American Ska & Oi! These historic recordings are currently the only official release available to feature this 2-Tone hybrid band featuring members of 2-Tone heroes The Specials and The Beat. The CD features 22 tracks from their live TV recording of "Shibuyaa On Air”. Line-up includes Neville Staples, Lynval Golding, John Bradbury from The Specials, and Rankin’ Roger and Wayne Lothian from The Beat (and General Public) plus Finny and Sean Flowerdew from the Loafers and Pama international. This short lived band were regarded as one of the best live bands on the circuit and many Ska fans still talk about their shows in the the early 1990’s in the USA and many Ska experts have cited the Special Beat 1992 show at the London Town & Country (now the Garage) as one of the best ever live Ska shows!Bonus DVD features the 80 minute film of this excellent live concert live originally released as "Shibuyaa On Air” on video and "Enjoy Yourself” on DVD.
