Our American Beat imprint has been on a crusade to resurrect under-appreciated American roots-rock and power pop bands from out-of-print limbo, and this time we’re bringing you both varieties rolled up into one band, The Rave-Ups! Led by frontman/lyricist Jimmer Podrasky, this Pittsburgh quartet fused the big ringing chords of power pop with the working-class concerns of roots-rock, and put enough classic rock references (Dylan, Hollies, Beatles, Turtles) into their songs to keep college radio record geeks happy.
