ブリティッシュ・インヴェイジョンの多くのバンドと同様アメリカからの影響をふんだんに受けつつも、エリック・バードン率いるアニマルズはブルース・スタンダード「The House of the Rising Sun」をオルガンを多用したアレンジを作りあげたことで他のバンドとは一線を画す存在となりました。その後も「Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood」、「We Gotta Get Out Of This Place」、「Don't Bring Me Down」などヒットを連発した彼らの初期1964-67年のラジオ放送用音源。バードンの情熱的なライブ・ヴォーカルを頂点とする騒々しいライブ・ショーはどこで演奏してもオーディエンスを熱狂させた彼らならではのものです。ライヴ・パフォーマンスだけではなくラジオショーならではのインタビューなどを交えており、1960年代当時の雰囲気も含めてアニマルズを知ることのできる音源集となっています。
