かつてのなんだか大事にしたくなる7"シングルの雰囲気が帰ってきましたよ!ドイツの極小マイクロインディーEDITION 59から名前の通りの限定59枚リリースの3" CDRシングル・シリーズ!Alan McGeeの最初の仕事はSEX PISTOLSとJOY DIVISIONに多大な影響を受けたNWパンクスでした。のちのPRIMAL SCREAMのAndrew Innesも参加、実はなんと最初の2枚のジャケットイラストは印刷工場勤めの若き日のRobert Bernard "Bobby" Gillespie少年の手によるもの。そういう意味でもファンは見逃せませんよね。PRE.PRE. CREATIONレーベルであるAlan最初のレーベルAUTONOMY(＝自主制作！78年BUZZCOCKSの1STの曲名!)よりのオリジナル7"は激レアです。Their last release from 1982. Very JOY DIVISION-like....THE LAUGHING APPLE were the first Band of ALAN MCGEE  before he started with BIFF BANG POW! and his CREATION  Label.  The members of the band was Alan McGee and Andrew Innes (later in PRIMAL SCREAM). They released 3 Singles on the AUTONOMY and ESSENTIAL Label.   The first recording, the HA HA HEE HEE EP, was a collection of four fine New Wave tunes which reminds me a little bit of TALKING HEADS, but more british... The second release on AUTONOMY was PARTICIPATE and WOULDN'T YOU ?. Two classics tracks of urgent guitars. WOULDN'T YOU ? was later a track on BIFF BANG POW's first Album PASS THE PAINTBRUSH HONEY. Their final release on their own ESSENTIAL Label in 1982 was CELEBRATION / PRECIOUS FEELING.A few reviewers wrote that the both tracks showed too much interest in JOY DIVISION. When I listen to those tracks after more than 25 years I'm thrilled again and again.. I don't know many bands who copied the soul of Joy Divison so greatly.
