The first in a series of tracks featuring UK soul artists on our label. This sampler features four amazing UK soul artists that we are honoured to shine a spotlight showing a sophisticated blend of musicianship. Anna-Maria Johnson, Don-E, Laville and ShezAR respectively have all paired with whom we deem top producers injecting that extra energy & taking their music to the dance floor!
A1. We kick of with Anna-Maria Johnson’s summer hit “Shivers”. Mark Francis is on production duties and once again demonstrates his ability to craft timeless records. pairing slick, driving rhythms with elegant piano arrangements that provide the perfect backdrop for Anna-Marie Johnson's rich, emotive vocal performance to take centre stage.
A2. ‘10,000 Miles’ produced by (Lee Gomez) Wipe The Needle and featuring a vocal performance by Laville, a song about going the distance for love! Laville is a multi talented artist who’s penned many of his own soul tracks including “Fire” which has been a big radio hit as well as regular features with labels such as Soul Quest and 2Fox.
B1. Makin’ his debut on the label, we present Marvin Jupiter! One of the most innovative young producer/musician to breakthrough the North West London broken beat scene adding his authentic production to UK soul legend's Don-E "Lovin' You".
B2. The final track on this EP is Jimpster’s remix of “Natural High”, originally a broken beat track produced by Tom Laroye in collaboration with the one and only ShezAr. ShezAr has already featured on a previous vinyl release “We Shall Overcome” with Wipe The Needle which was a firm dance floor favourite with DJ’s globally. This time Jimpster steps up the original mix adding an energetic peak time mix to Shezar’s vocals
